Dr. Orlando Oio
The doctor behind many people´s smiles

Dr. Orlando Oio was born in Cordoba, Argentina in 1959 and carried out his university studies at the National University of Cordoba, graduating in 1987.  He became a member of the College of Odontologists in the province of Córdoba and concurrently became an odontologist at the Tránsito Cáceres de Allende Hospital.

In 1988 he moved to Salta and became the permanent associate odontologist of the Salta Forestal Health Centre, part of the Dr. Oscar H. Costa Hospital, Ministry of Public Health, of the province of Salta.  Here he combined his professional activity with that of biology professor at the Salta Forestal Manual and Technical School.

In 1989 he immigrates to Spain and begins his own private practice in the town of Villagarcia de Arosa in the province of Pontevedra – Galicia – and from 1991 to 2000 he dedicates himself to general dentistry, principally performing periodontic and implant activities.
In 1997 and 1998 he completes his specialist Orthodontic studies in Madrid with the Staff of Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.

Since 2001 he has been exclusively dedicated to Orthodontics, adopting the auto-ligating and low friction system for his treatments, working in his own dental surgeries and collaboration with others.

He has attended innumerable courses, seminars and symposia in order to be up to-date with all innovations and advances in orthodontics over recent years.

He is a member of the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO), of the Spanish Society of Orthodontics (SEDO) and the Spanish Society for Oral, Maxillofacial Surgery (SECOM) and European Orthodontics society (EOS).
